Real-life Sherlock Holmes

Most of you are familiar with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as the author of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries.

Did you know, though, that Conan Doyle was a physician, and that Sherlock Holmes was based on a real-life physician he studied under?

I normally don’t pass along pieces like this one, but found it both interesting and fun.  Enjoy!
